Review of Fatal Domain by Steven James

It was starting to feel like I've been waiting for Fatal Domain to release forever, so I was thrilled to pick up my copy at the bookstore and dig in. Let me tell you, it was totally worth the wait.

As usual, the characters Steven James writes are multi-faceted and true-to-life. The story picks up where Broker of Lies ended, and offered non-stop action to the very end.

The main character, Travis Brock, is easy to like and flawed in a way that made him feel human. The story brings him face-to-face with people from the past that he never thought he would see or never hoped to see again. It was fun to watch the story unfold and see how all the little pieces of peoples lives fit together into this unforgettable story.

My favorite line from the book is: "When we play God, there are always unintended consequences that make it clear we're not up to the task. He creates life in his own image. We create monsters in ours."

I can't recommend this book highly enough. If you'd like to win an ebook copy, comment below with your favorite book you've read so far this year.

  1. Favorite book? Too many to count as I read a lot and follow some great writers. The one I’m reading currently is Lethal Danger by Jeusha Agen. I just finished Yukon Wilderness Evidence by Darlene Turner and Her Duty Bound Defender by Sharee Stover. I did read Never Fall Again and also can’t wait to read the books to follow.

  8. It's always so hard to choose a favorite! I really enjoyed Elizabeth Goddard's Missing in Alaska series: Cold Light of Day, Shadows at Dusk, and Dawn's Hidden Threat. Redeeming the Prodigal by Jodi Basye was another favorite. I am currently reading my way chronologically through Lisa Phillips' series, and am finishing up the Chevalier Protection Specialists series. I have been loving ALL of her books!

  9. Thank you for this wonderful review of Fatal Domain by Steven James! Like the fact that it offers non-stop action till the end! There are many books, especially thrillers, that I enjoy reading them, such as this YA Kill Her Twice by Stacey Lee that I just finished reading it - it's twisty and suspenseful!
