First, tell us about your upcoming release.
In Yukon Wilderness Evidence, forensic botanist, Dr. Keeley Ash, is called to a crime scene where roots have grown into skeletal remains and she has to help date the tree to determine how long the bones have been hidden deep in the Yukon forest. When she’s abducted by hunters, she hides evidence and vows to bring the criminals to justice. Brett Ryerson arrives to tend to the injured and discovers a woman from his past. When they target and kidnap her before his eyes, he races into the forest to save her life.
What was your inspiration for this book?
I’ve always been fascinated by forensics and when I was brainstorming ideas, I remembered hearing about a case where plants were used to help catch a criminal. After further research, my storyline emerged. Loved writing this story.
3. My favorite meal on a Friday night is chicken fingers and sweet potato fries. Haha!
What do you like to do when you’re not writing?
I love reading, watching movies and television shows, tole paint (painting scenes on wood), going out for supper with my hubby.
What are you working on now?
I’m excited to be working on a full-length book for Love Inspired Trade. Can’t wait to share the story.

What is your favorite part of the writing process?
Characterization - I love setting up my hero, heroine, and villain. Diving into my characters and developing their backgrounds, fears, dark moment, likes, dislikes, etc. is so much fun. I also like to find images of how I picture them. It helps me to visualize my scenes.
On the other hand, what is your least favorite part?
Synopsis – I think writing a synopsis is the least favorite of most authors. Haha!
Tell us three things about yourself that might surprise your readers.
1. I love going to the movies by myself! When I finish a proposal, manuscript or some other milestone, I sometimes treat myself to a movie during the day. Such fun!
2. I’m the only child in my family with red hair! My brother used to call me Rusty Brains.
