The first weekend of October is always extra special to me, because that's when I drive to way-northern Wisconsin to visit fellow author Lyn Cote and her family. Phone and zoom calls are great, but nothing beats visiting in person.
We've been friends since 1992, when I first started writing, so we go way back! Do you have some special friends who have moved far away? Have you been able to keep in touch?
Now for some book news! COLD CASE DANGER, the first title in my inspirational romantic suspense series Wyoming Danger, is out now.
Janna McAllister figures she has everything under control. But maybe not...
She can handle raising her daughter alone. The refurbishment of her remote lodge and cabins in time for tourist season, to begin generating some income. And caring for her increasingly confused mother.
But when her ragamuffin dog digs up human remains behind one of the cabins and she glimpses a shadowy figure lurking in the surrounding forest, danger mounts.
Will her intriguing new boarder and his troubled son prove helpful, or is she totally on her own?
Do you have some special friends who have moved far away? Have you been able to keep in touch?

Wishing you many blessings.

My best friend in elementary school moved to a city about 60 miles away but our main contact was through letters. Our families and jobs kept us busy and she didn't often come back home. She passed away several years ago and I often think "What if...?" So glad that you and Lyn are keeping your friendship thriving!
ReplyDeleteYour new book sounds very intriguing. Congratulations!

This book sounds intriguing! And, yes! ALL of my friends and family now live between 650 miles to as far as 1,500 miles. It gets lonely! But Hod has sustained.
ReplyDeleteGoodness---they are very, very far away from you!
DeleteI used to think I'd like to move to the mountains or the Seattle area on an island, but it would be too hard to move away from our kids and grandkids in the Midwest.
An exciting series. I love Chritain suspense.
