Gina Holder's New Cozy Mystery, Home Baked Bribery, plus a giveaway

Gina Holder here. Can you believe it’s nearly the middle of March? It seems like just yesterday we were trudging our way through a very long January.

I am so excited to be here today to share with you my new release, Home Baked Bribery, book two in my Addie Masters Mysteries series.

Addie is an extrovert who loves interacting with people, listening to their stories, and fixing their problems. Whether that’s a leaky sink or an aching heart, she’s there with a shoulder to cry on and a wrench to tighten the bolts.

Addie’s well-liked in the community, so having a nemesis really bothers her …  really bothers her. Kennedy Graves has a bone to pick with Addie but won’t tell her why.

Addie wants to make things right—at the same time, it’s hard to show Kennedy compassion and kindness when she’s treated Addie so abominably over the years. But Talia, Addie’s best friend, reminds Addie that the Scriptures tell us to love our enemies. Even if they have the personality of a spiky sea urchin.

When the guest celebrity judge dies from what appears to be anaphylactic shock, Kennedy is banned from the baking competition, The Golden Whisk Award, for using almond extract. At Talia’s request, Addie offers to prove Kennedy innocent, then maybe she’ll get to the bottom of Kennedy’s animosity toward her.

But that may be harder than it seems. Especially with a handsome Georgian and two lost dogs vying for Addie’s attention. As the final round draws closer, things heat up in the proverbial kitchen, and Addie might just be over her head with this one.

I hope you check it out!

The annual Rockport bake sale and competition is underway. The stakes are higher than ever for the coveted Golden Whisk Award when a high-profile celebrity chef is brought in as a surprise guest judge.

The competition takes a deadly turn when the celebrity suffers an allergic reaction.

When Addie’s nemesis, Kennedy Graves, is banned from the competition for using almond extract, Addie volunteers to prove Kennedy innocent. As Addie investigates the death, she learns each of the local bakers had a motive to dislike the celebrity. But did one of them kill him?

Meanwhile, hundred-year-old twins, Poppy and Marigold, keep Addie hopping, looking for their missing dogs.

Will Addie be able to uncover the truth behind the celebrity judge’s death, or will she become the next victim of the mysterious shenanigans going on in Rockport?
