Do you have friends you've known for many years--ones you might not see for a long time, yet whenever you can get together it's as if no time has passed at all? Or family members you don't get to see often enough?
I started writing in 1993, and inspirational author Lyn Cote started before that. During those early years we used to meet every week to talk about our writing, and share what we'd been learning. She soon moved seven hours away, but we've still been dear friends for thirty years. We only see each other once a year, so thank goodness for email and unlimited cell phone plans. 😁
And yes, we still spend a lot of time talking about writing. She has a new book out, by the way: To Love Somebody. Don't miss it!
It's almost two years since a massive derecho ripped through central Iowa, and I am so thrilled that work on our replacement deck was finished just in time for our nephew's graduation celebration last weekend. Lots of cooking and house cleaning were involved, in order to have everyone here for supper on Saturday and Sunday. It was such a wonderful weekend, visiting at length with all of the relatives who came from out of state. What a joy! Are there friends and relatives you wish you could see more often?
On another note, FINAL WITNESS, an inspirational romantic suspense, was released in mid-May. Here's the LINK and here's just a quick description:Emma has seen far too many people die--and now she's been framed for her father's murder by the WITSEC--Witness Protection Program--officers who killed him. They were supposed to protect her, too. But now they want her dead.
She is running for her life. If she can make it across the country, can she start a new life in some remote part of the Rockies and simply disappear? There's no one she can turn to, no one she dares trust…until she hides in a horse trailer and ends up in the hands of a handsome Montana rancher who doesn't believe her story.
Will he protect her? Or has her flight to safety come to an end? (PG-13)
looks suspenseful

Good friends become more dear as the years go by! One precious friend who had moved away passed away a few years ago. It was always great to get together.
ReplyDeleteI am privileged to have a couple of dear friends that even though time passes and we don't see each other for a while, when we do get together, it seems like we've never been apart. Those friendships are rare and such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI love Christian suspense! Final Witness sounds sooo good! Thank you for the chance to win a copy of this ebook!!
