I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
Church came first, of course--online for me--but the rest of the weekend was spent with lots of cooking and enjoying time with the relatives who could come. The two December grandbabies came too, a boy and a girl. They'd never seen each other, and I don't think either knew what to think when confronted with another four-month-old baby. There were lots of wary expressions.
While being posed with their moms for a photo, one little sweetie started to cry and the other immediately made a major frowny face and held a hand against her ear closest to him, to block the noise! 😊
I'm excited to share some news. 😀 I have a new book releasing on Friday! FINAL ESCAPE is the fourth of five books in my Montana Secrets inspirational romantic suspense series. Each book in the series can stand alone, so they can be read in any order.
It's available now for pre-order! CLICK HERE to find out more or to order! Here's a quick blurb:

But this small, remote mountain town is hiding dangerous secrets, and now someone is harassing her. Has her ex-husband tracked her down?
Or are the increasing threats related to the troubling rumors about her handsome new landlord?

and the final book will be out on May 17th.
One of my fondest memories of Easter was the year Easter fell on Hubby's birthday. Being the loving father he is, he allowed our daughter to dress him like she thought he should be as the Easter Bunny. Well, I guess she mixed how she always got dressed up with the bunny itself and came up with him in a make shift skirt with ribbons in his hair and a big bunny tail carrying a basket full of eggs. When she was done, he had to hop down the hallway so I could see the "Easter Bunny" arrive. Sadly, this was before digital cameras so there was no lasting photograph of the event, but it's still a very vivid picture in my memory.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the opportunity to read FINAL ESCAPE. However, since I don't have a reader and can't stay sitting at the computer long enough to enjoy a book, I will pass on the chance to win an ebook.

Final Escape sound so good! Can't wait for it to release. My Easter memories consist of scratchy dresses and new shoes that hurt my feet. lol. And finding Easter eggs after church.

Some of my fondest memories of Easter were when our 2 daughters were little. Each year my husband and I would create a scavenger hunt with clues hidden in the house and around the yard. Our daughters would be so excited as they searched for the clues in their Easter dresses carrying their Easter baskets! They collected little prizes along the way, and the Grand Prize was always a huge hit. I will treasure these memories forever in my heart.

One year Easter was on the same day as my oldest son's birthday! I didn't buy my children Easter baskets; they got things like a toy or storage container that could be reused (one year my oldest boy got a Dukes of Hazard car--i think he liked it better than the candy! Badawson16 at aol dot com
ReplyDeleteA new Easter bonnet, white gloves, a dress that was made fuller by the crinoline petticoat underneath, and black patent leather shoes...this is what little girls wore on Easter Sunday when I was growing up. I had a classmate who usually got white shoes for Easter and I always wanted a pair also, but my mom believed in the black! We weren't rich, in fact, we may have been considered poor by some standards, but somehow, my brother and I were dressed royally when we went to church on Easter!
ReplyDeleteI remember one Easter that I actually got chocolate in my basket. Belgian chocolate that was sooooo good!

When I was married and out of my parent’s house, one year Daddy sent all of us girls a corsage, like he used to do when we were growing up! A fabulous surprise that brought back memories of dressing up and going to Church!
