REVIEWING FIREFLY DIARIES BY C.C. WARRENS

 Firefly Diaries

Well, C.C. Warrens did it again! I’ve read her Holly Novels and loved the characters so much I would accidentally forget they weren’t real and pray for them before I went to bed. Firefly Diaries is what I hope is the first book in a new series and not a standalone. Both the primary and secondary characters were so relatable that I really don’t want this to be the last I get to hear of them. In fact, I really think that if I met Noelle in real life—and if she were a real person—we’d be best buds, and she would give me some killer lip balm recommendations since that’s an addiction we share.

As with all C.C. Warrens’ books, there is some heavy subject matter—in the case of Firefly Diaries, human trafficking. But even the difficult parts are written so tactfully and with so much compassion that I didn’t struggle with the need to put the book down and watch cartoons to clear my brain. Of course, with the nail-biting suspense and escalating danger, it would have been humanly impossible for me to put the book down anyway. And as with her other stories, there is a perfect sprinkling of humor to balance the heaviness.

I don’t want to give you any spoilers, but I honestly can’t recommend Firefly Diaries enough. I laughed and cried and experienced all the feels. I’ll include a link for those of you who are interested in a killer suspense story with characters you can cheer for.

YOU CAN BUY IT HERE

If you haven’t read C.C. Warrens’ Holly Novels yet, you should check them out as well. You’ll thank me later. 😊

Relatable characters are my favorite part of any story. What makes you keep turning pages? Comment below for a chance to win a Kindle copy of Firefly Diaries!

  4. I have only read the first of C.C. Warrens Holly novels and I was quite impressed. I have to wonder if this is a new series? Either way, I know it's something I would love to read.

  8. What keeps me turning pages are characters I want to know or be friends with and a plot that challenges them to become stronger. This sounds like an excellent book!
