Well, happy Wednesday Everybody! I’d like to introduce you
all to four of our very talented authors in the Dangerous Pursuits collection. I
will be giving away an eBook copy of one of their books along with a copy of
Dangerous Pursuits which releases on October 12th. All you have to do is
comment. Don't forget to leave your email address as well.
To enter, tell me some of your favorite types of suspense novels
to read. Do they involve Cops, Sheriffs, FBI Agents, U.S. Marshals, Spies, K-9 Units,
Search and Rescue plots, Amish? Or maybe something completely different.
Ready? Okay, let’s start with Therese Heckenkamp.
Born in Australia but raised in the USA as a homeschooled
student, Therese Heckenkamp has been writing stories since before she could
spell. At age 18, she completed the first draft of her first published novel.
She is now the award-winning author of four Christian romance/suspense novels:
Past Suspicion, Frozen Footprints, After the Thaw (a 2016 Readers' Favorite
Bronze Medal Winner in Christian Fiction), and The Butterfly Recluse.
Therese's books have reached #1 Bestseller in various Amazon
Kindle categories, including Religious Romance, Religious Mysteries, and
Inspirational Religious Fiction.
A busy wife and mother of five, Therese fits in writing time
whenever she can manage (and sometimes when she can't). A member of American
Christian Fiction Writers, she looks forward to writing many more novels in the
future.
Therese always welcomes reader feedback and comments. Visit
her online: www.ThereseHeckenkamp.com.
Therese’s book, After the Thaw, is Book 2 of the Frozen
Footprints series.
Some wounds heal. Others leave scars.
Four years ago, Charlene Perigard survived a brutal
kidnapping. Now she’s put that trauma behind her for a promising future with
handsome firefighter Ben Jorgensen. But when new danger strikes, a new
nightmare begins.
Sinister threats, a midnight attack, and a deathbed promise
drive Charlene to the little town of Creekside, where she encounters a man from
her past whom she has long struggled to forget: Clay Morrow—ex-convict and
brother of her kidnapper. He's also the man who once helped save her life.
Despite the odds, Charlene and Clay forge a tentative
friendship, unaware of a brooding, mounting danger that seeks to destroy them
both. Charlene’s wounded heart must choose between her fiancé and the man whose
past is more scarred than her own. But in choosing, she may just lose
everything.
Author Cynthia Hickey has been making up stories since she
was a child. How fortunate that she finally found an outlet for her, uh,
fictional tellings.
Multi-published and Amazon and ECPA Best-Selling author
Cynthia Hickey has sold over a million copies of her works since 2013. She has
taught a Continuing Education class at the 2015 American Christian Fiction
Writers conference, several small ACFW chapters, and RWA chapters. She and her
husband run the small press, Winged Publications, which includes some of the
CBA’s best well-known authors. She travels between Arizona and Arkansas,
depending on the time of year with her husband. She has ten grandchildren who
keep her busy and tell everyone they know that “Nana is a writer”.

Cynthia’s Four Legged Suspect is Book 4 of A Tail Waggin'
Mystery Book series.
A dog left on Trinity’s doorstep.
One that has a taste for theft.
When a beagle puppy is dropped off at Trinity’s pet store,
Tail Waggin’, with a note calling the little thing a thief, she thinks nothing
of it. Until the four-legged rascal steals a Rolex that had already been
stolen once. Trinity vows no more mysteries.
Her mother and friend have other ideas sending the three of
them along a path of revenge, murder, and the theft of more than a watch.
Could this be the last mystery for the Waterfall Sleuths?
An Army brat, Ronie Kendig grew up in the classic military
family, with her father often TDY and her mother holding down the proverbial
fort. Their family moved often, which left Ronie attending six schools by the
time she’d entered fourth grade. Her respite and “friends” during this time
were the characters she created.
It was no surprise when she married a military veteran—her
real-life hero—in June 1990 and recently celebrated their 30th Anniversary.
Despite the craziness of life, Ronie finds balance and peace with her faith,
family.
Ronie has a deep love and passion for people, which is why
she earned a degree in Psychology from Liberty University. Ronie speaks and
teaches across the country and mentors other writers.
Since launching onto the publishing scene in 2010, Ronie and
her books have hit bestseller lists and garnered awards and critical acclaim,
including:
2020 Realm Award – Science Fiction – Brand of Light
2020 Alliance Award (Reader’s Choice) – Brand of Light
2020 INSPY Award Short List
You can find out more about Ronie’s books at: http://roniekendig.com.
Ronie’s book, Kings Falling, is Book 2 of the Wars Book
series.
Leif Metcalfe and his team, dubbed Reaper, need to recover
the stolen, ancient Book of the Wars if they hope to stop the Armageddon
Coalition and their pursuit of global economic control. But their attention has
been diverted by a prophecy in the book that foretells of formidable guardians
who will decimate the enemies of ArC. While Iskra Todorova uses her connections
in the covert underworld to hunt down the Book of the Wars, Leif and Reaper
attempt to neutralize these agents but quickly find themselves outmaneuvered
and outgunned.
The more Reaper tries to stop the guardians, the more
failure becomes a familiar, antagonistic foe. Friendships are fractured, and
the team battles to hold it together long enough to defeat ArC. But as this
millennia-old conspiracy creeps closer and closer to home, the implications
could tear Leif and the team apart.
A native North Carolinian, J. Carol Nemeth has always loved
reading and enjoyed making up stories ever since junior high school, most based
in the places she has lived or traveled to. She worked in the National Park
Service as a Park Aid and served in the US Army where she was stationed in
Italy, traveling to over thirteen countries while there. She met the love of
her life, Mark Nemeth, also an Army veteran, while stationed in Italy. After
they married, they lived in various locations, including North Yorkshire,
England. They now live in West Virginia, where, in their spare time, Carol and
Mark enjoy RVing, sightseeing and are active in their church. They have a son,
Matt, who serves in the US Army and a daughter, Jennifer, her husband Flint,
who serves in the US Air Force, and three grandchildren, Martin, Ava and Gage.
Their four-footed kid is pretty special too. Holly, a black Lab loves traveling
in their RV, and when they pack up to go, she’s waiting inside for them to head
out.
You can visit her online at https://www.jcarolnemeth.com.
J. Carol’s latest book, Glacier of Secrets, is book 4 of her
Faith in the Parks series.
Photographer Maggie Lawrence is excited about her new
assignment at Denali National Park, that is until her excitement is damped by
Ranger Troy Donovan’s refusal to escort her into the wilderness for photos.
When an Alaskan senator arrives and Maggie’s assignment changes, Troy is
ordered by the powers that be to help Maggie out. When things turn deadly and
the senator’s life is at risk, Troy and Maggie find a connection between a
thirty-three-year-old Soviet defector’s record and a photo Maggie took on her
first day in Alaska. While Troy is investigating deep in the park, Maggie and
the good senator are kidnapped. How can Troy rescue them when he must stay on
mission? There are foreign operatives in pursuit, and he can’t stop now. This
woman who once stirred his refusal of help has stirred other feelings he’s
buried deep inside. Now all he can think of is rescuing and protecting Maggie
Lawrence.
Can I say I enjoy them all but Amish suspense is maybe my favorite. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI am partial to the Amish Suspense myself.
DeleteThink I can honestly say I love them all - each for a different reason. For example, being an old Army brat, I love military themed. A great animal lover, I love those that contain or are centered around animals like the K-9s. Enjoy the Amish genre and add suspense to it and I'm all in. Solving a crime and ending with a happy ending leads you to the search and rescue.
