Patricia Bradley here, and I am so excited! Today is release day for Justice Betrayed! This is the third book in the Memphis Cold Case Novels. I tell people it's my Elvis book. :-)
When I started the cold case novels, I knew any series set in Memphis had to have a book with Elvis in it. Well, one with Elvis kind of in it. In Justice Betrayed, Elvis impersonators -- and I quickly learned they are really tribute artists-- any way they are being killed. And Rachel Sloan wants to know why.
Join me in sultry Memphis during Elvis Week...leave a comment with your email addy and I'll enter you in a drawing for a copy of Justice Betrayed! Are you an Elvis fan? Or are you asking, Elvis who?
(print for US addresses and digital for outside the Continental US)
It's Elvis Week in Memphis, and homicide Detective Rachel Sloan isn't sure her day could get any stranger when aging Elvis impersonator Vic Vegas asks to see her. But when he produces a photo of her murdered mother with four Elvis impersonators--one of whom had also been murdered soon after the photo was taken--she's forced to reevaluate. Is there some connection between the two unsolved cases? And could the recent break-in at Vic's home be tied to his obsession with finding his friend's killer?
When yet another person in the photo is murdered, Rachel suddenly has her hands full investigating three cases. Lieutenant Boone Callahan offers his help, but their checkered romantic past threatens to get in the way. Can they solve the cases before the murderer makes Rachel victim number four?

Happy Book Birthday to Me!
Come Tuesday, June 5, Justice Betrayed, the third book in the Memphis Cold Case Novels will release! To celebrate, I'm giving away two print copies! So be sure to leave a comment at the end of the blog.
Justice Betrayed is my "Elvis" book 'cause you know any series set in Memphis has to have at least one book that pays homage to the king! And I thought today I would interview Shirley from Justice Betrayed.
You meet her in the first pages of the story and learn about her troubled upbringing. So here we go...
Patricia: Welcome to Suspense Sisters, Shirley.
Shirley, sniffing: Why are you interviewing me? Most blogs want to talk to the sappy hero or heroine.
Patricia: I thought my readers might want to know a little bit about you. You play quite an important role in the book. What made you become a killer?
Shirley: It wasn't my fault. If these people hadn't crossed me, there would never have been a problem.
Patricia: Rachel Sloan never crossed you.
Shirley: No, she just went around sticking her nose in places she shouldn't have. I warned her, but she didn't listen.
Patricia: What do you think of Boone Callahan?"
Shirley, smiling: He's a handsome one. Don't understand why Rachel would rather be a homicide detective than to be his sweetheart! She needs her head examined. Rachel and Boone think they're going to catch me, but they won't. I'm smarter than either of them. No one has ever caught me.
Patricia - I think it's time to close the door on this interview: Well, thank you for your insights, Shirley.
Shirley: You tell those readers of yours, Rachel Sloan is a marked woman, and Boone Callahan won't be able to save her.
