WHERE DO WRITERS GO TO RECHARGE-...AND WHERE DO YOU? ...Roxanne Rustand

Though one can't generalize about  authors being introverted or extroverted, one thing is true: we tend to spend a lot of time in our offices, at our computers.

Despite our families and friends, it can still be a solitary existence--especially as deadlines loom. Over the past two months, I've been working in my office a good ten hours a day.   BUT.....

On Sunday, I'll be leaving my husband to tend our three dogs, three horses, and a half-dozen cats for something I look forward to every year.

The Novelists Inc conference is always at St. Pete's Beach in Florida. While I prefer our cooler autumn weather over heat and humidity, this conference just can't be beat!

Only published authors can belong to this organization, so the  conference is completely focused on the writing profession. I learn so much every year, see many old friends going back to when I first was published in 1999, and return home completely refreshed and eager to apply what I've learned.

Where do you go to recharge?  Is there a special location where you go to relax? Or gather with friends for a special weekend? A beloved retreat? I would love to hear about what you enjoy!

Leave a comment, and you can be in a drawing for a free e-copy of any title in my Montana Secrets  or  Wyoming Courage  Christian romantic suspense series.

Before I go--here's the cover of  DEADLY NOEL, which will be out October 18th. It's now available for a special pre-order price.

Click on its title to read more about it!

Wishing you all my best for a blessed autumn,

Roxanne Rustand

  6. I would absolutely love to get completely away, but that has never happened. My son is a fisherman, though, and so when he's caught up with his schoolwork I take him to a nearby lake, we set up my hammock, and I read while he fishes.
