DEADLY VENDETTA BY ROXANNE RUSTAND

He hadn't known about his estranged sister's little girl. Now he's on the run to keep her alive.

Deadly Vendetta is the first book in my new DEA Special Agents series, and it's available at a bargain pre-order price until its release on September 6th. Click on the title to learn more!

I loved writing this Christian Romantic Suspense. It gave me an opportunity to explore the second-chance romance of two characters who couldn't be more different, the escalating dangers they face, and the heartbroken little girl they need to protect.

My life isn't nearly that exciting, fortunately. But I expect many of us have experienced things that are unusual or unexpected.

One of mine: I was adopted at the age of three, and all birth records were completely sealed back then, so I knew I'd never find out anything about my biological relatives. And then I signed up for 23and Me. To my utter shock, I have now connected with a lovely half-sister--who went into the very same (and uncommon) profession as I did--and three first cousins who are wonderfully welcoming people. We now meet at least once a year, and it's such fun.  I now have photos of my birth parents and can see where my wildly curly hair came from.  :)   Oh, and then there was that parasailing adventure by this gal who is soooo afraid of heights...

How about you--have you had some interesting or unusual experiences?

Leave a comment, and you'll be in a drawing for a free Kindle e-book from my Northern Pines Suspense or Wyoming Courage series--your choice of title. You can see all of my series if you CLICK HERE and then select "Sort by publication date."

Wishing you all the best,

Roxanne Rustand

  1. Most of the unusual things that've happened to me were not fun...like the time a horse ran away with me on him and decided to get me off by going under a low hanging branch, knocking me off...But I survived and it'll probably end up in a book one day...

    1. I had the same experience, got back on the horse; however I haven’t ridden since then.

  4. The most unusual thing that happened to me is a friend talked me into going white water rafting and we went through seven rapids. I don't know how to swim! lesncyn@att.net

  6. My story is similar. My mother always led me to believe her first husband who died in the war, was my father. When I started doing genealogy I found out he wasn’t. I did the Ancestry DNA test just to find out where my ancestors were from. Found a half sister and we have become close.

  7. I got involved with competition BBQ because of my husband...I somehow ended up being the rib cook for our team & now I've won several 1st places, including one perfect score. Never imagined I'd be doing this when I was younger & couldn't even cook pancakes to save my life 😂

  8. Thoroughly enjoyed your Wyoming Courage series; and this new release looks amazing!
It doesn't seem unusual to me, but probably the most unique experience I've had is raising 7 kids on a working farm...with milk cows, horses, sheep, goats, a large garden, etc. It's been great!!
