The last
8 books that I’ve published through Love Inspired Suspense have all taken
place in and around the West Kootenai, Montana Amish community, also known at
Rexford.
From the
beginning, I fell in love with this small, remote Amish settlement when I began
researching AMISH COUNTRY KIDNAPPING – book one of the series set in West
Kootenai.
Like many
from the West Kootenai Amish, the Shetler brothers, which are featured in 5 of
the books, mill their own logs for creating beautifully hand-crafted furniture.
In the final
West Kootenai, Montana, an old family friend who has made appearances in
many of the books, finds himself searching for the woman who saved his life. Ethan believes Jade has been kidnapped by a terrorist who is determined to silence her.
Here is the
blurb for AMISH COUNTRY RANSOM:
A winter
storm turns a fight for justice into a struggle for survival…
After FBI
agent Jade Powell’s sister is abducted, K-9 trainer Ethan Connors is determined
to help the woman who once saved his life. But an enemy from Jade’s past will
stop at nothing to keep his agenda hidden. With a storm brewing and a killer
hunting them deep into Amish country, can Jade and Ethan survive the
treacherous weather long enough to bring a criminal mastermind to justice?
After 8
books, it’s hard to say goodbye to the community and all the characters I will
leave behind there. Maybe someday, I’ll revisit and catch up on what they’ve
been up to.
Where will I
take my characters next? There are 2 books scheduled to take place near the Tobacco
Root Mountains of Montana, and then from there, who knows?
For a chance
to win a $10.00 Amazon Gift Card, tell me about your favorite book setting (it
doesn’t have to be in an Amish community). Be sure to include your email. I’ll
announce the winner during my next posting.
Until then,
Happy
reading!
