Oh yes! Smell that turkey baking? See that glistening cranberry pineapple salad? Yep, it's Thanksgiving time, and man oh man are we food blessed here at Mentink Manor. We start dinner early so we can do lots of talking and then line up the leftovers for later. We pass around the little candle that Yogi made her kindergarten year...or was it Boo Boo? And we share what we're thankful for. (It's a long list). One of the things that blesses me is ...YOU! The wonderful readers out there who enjoy my books. So here's a fun 'get to know you' game. 5. What is something you particularly enjoy about the month of November? My Daddy was one of 8 children growing up during the Depression. He always loved Thanksgiving Day because, even though there were very few Christmas presents, his farm family always enjoyed a very good Thanksgiving meal. I love that November was his birthday month, my birthday month and the month of Thanksgiving.

The Turkey Trot. It's either a 5-mile run or a 2-mile jog/walk. A lot of people wear turkey hats. It's a great way to start Thanksgiving Day!
