I'm so honored to be part of this volume with fellow authors Jerusha Agen, Sami A. Abrams, and Sarah Hamaker.
Keep reading to learn about the four stories in this volume and how you can enter to win a Kindle copy.
Meet the Authors and Stories of Truth
Trapped - Jerusha Agen
Her lies keep her safe. Until the truth shows up. And it’s carrying a gun.
Kristen Grant will do anything to protect her adopted teen daughter from the dangers of their past, no matter how many secrets it requires.
His childhood friend may have a different name, but that doesn’t change the way he feels. Security specialist Sean Kingston never expected to meet his childhood buddy in sleepy little Leben Falls. She’s changed, shrouded in mystery and secrets she doesn’t want to share.
Freedom has a price, and the enemy of Kristen’s past has come to collect. Will she have to pay with her life?
Mine - Sami A. Abrams
Haunted by an abusive past, Jennie Neilson’s quiet life shatters when a mistaken text message puts her daughter into the crosshairs of a child predator. Detective David Whitman, haunted by his fiancĂ©e’s death, uncovers a chilling connection to Jennie’s past. The feeling of being watched and a reminder of her ex-boyfriend, Jennie fears he’s returned for revenge. As the predator escalates, Zoey is kidnapped, forcing Jennie to make a decision that could get Zoey killed. Racing against time, David must face his fears to save them both, risking everything to stop a man intent on claiming Jennie—or destroying her.
Fatal Past - Sarah Hamaker
Dr. Eve Davenport has forged a life for herself far from the pain of her past. But when she foils the kidnapping attempt of Ethan Smith, she comes face-to-face with the boy’s father, Jefferson Smith—the high school sweetheart who broke her heart and left her with secrets she’s buried for nearly a decade. Jefferson can’t believe the woman who saved Ethan, his late twin brother’s son, is Eve—the girl he once loved and lost. But as the danger mounts, Jefferson and Eve must confront their tangled history and uncover who is behind the attacks targeting Ethan and Eve.
Jenni Battley never imagined moving back in with her parents. To survive single parenting, she returns to Rosemary Beach with her young daughter and takes a summer job at her former high school. Her husband’s death canceled last Christmas, and now, a student drug ring overshadows her school’s Christmas-in-July event. Her bitter heart doesn’t belong near any joy-filled celebration—especially not one at the epicenter of an investigation. Officer Shane Prescott and paramedic Logan Oswald graduated with Jenni, and both keep appearing at the most inopportune times. Can she trust them, or is there a wolf in sheep’s clothing?

DeleteBBq, and fireworks after work
ReplyDeleteVery nice, hope you had a great day!
DeleteMy favorite 4th of July memory is of the greased flagpole contest by the local firemen at the high school football field. It was silly and they wore their equipment, so it was a feat of stamina. This was followed by the usual fireworks with both a ground display and aerial. There were plenty of firemen in case of fire plus the birds decided not to fly around that evening.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! Sounds like a fun memory.
DeleteAs kids, we always had those sparklers, running around the yard with the cousins. Everyone got together for a cookout, and family fun! ceedee1958@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy brothers and I enjoyed sparklers as kids too! Family time is the best.
DeleteI loved watching fireworks with my family when I was younger and still enjoy it today. However, we now have pets terrified of the fireworks, so I stay home and read until it finally settles down. But I don't mind! L cisson @ gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteFireworks are so scary for our furry friends. Hope you had a wonderful Fourth!

DeleteTRUTH sounds intriguing and has four amazing authors' stories! Well, hubby and I prefer a staycation to celebrate July fourth in lieu of the crazy traffic and weather. We normally would bbq something and have some soda or home made Frappuccino. cwkuen(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteSign me up for your Frappuccino! I hope you had a wonderful Fourth.
DeleteNow that I’m older, my favorite thing is to stay home and watch the fireworks and patriotic acts on tv. I had the family over for hot dogs and hamburgers tonight, since they were downtown at the fireworks last night. legallyblonde1961@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. It sounds like you had a wonderful Fourth!

DeleteHad a fabulous 4th of July celebration with my church family. psalm103and138atgmaildotcom
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I'm so glad!
DeleteMy favorite way to celebrate is by volunteering at Patrick Henry's Red Hill, his final home and burial site. There's a huge celebration with a band, food trucks, tours, picnics, and then a descendant re-enacts the 'Liberty or Death' speech and reads the Declaration of Independence before fireworks. It's fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds amazing!
DeleteEnjoyed it! Great collection!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad! Thank you!
DeleteFor the last 15+ years we have celebrated with another family we're very close to. It's become a tradition we all look forward to, even though our gathering has grown from 10 of us to almost 40 with all the kids and now grandkids.
