BOOK REVIEW OF 26 BELOW BY KIMBERLEY WOODHOUSE - AND A GIVEAWAY!
After a failed engagement, Darcie Phillips, moves to Fairbanks, Alaska, to become the director of the Emergency Operations Center. She finds that the job may be more difficult than she’d imagined. Residents are up in arms – afraid that a pipeline is going to be erected in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge, a protected area that those who live in the vicinity are determined to protect. Although there are no plans to drill on the land, Darcie is having a hard time convincing the angry and single-minded citizens who refuse to trust her.
Add to the confusion and turmoil, a seemingly unbalanced woman who the locals call the “Prophetess.” She keeps showing up, warning anyone who will listen that when the temperature dips to 26 degrees below zero, people will die. Is she crazy or are the people of Fairbanks in real danger?
Darcie finds an ally in Jason Meyers, a cybersecurity expert who is also concerned about the strange events happening around them. They join forces, committed to uncovering the truth. But will they be able to stop a threat they’re not sure is real before the unthinkable happens?
Kimberely Woodhouse has written an excellent novel, full of suspense and intrigue. Her research makes the story feel real and her characters are well developed and relatable. I highly recommend 26 BELOW! You’ll love it!

I’ve never read a Kimberley Woodhouse suspense novel, but I think I read that she has written one in the past. If she can do for suspense what she does with historical fiction, then I’m definitely all in! This one is on my wish list.
