I’m sure if my
characters were real and I could actually meet them in person, they’d ask me
why I put them through so much. While I might apologize, I’d say, “because that’s
when the story gets interesting”. And its true.
As a writer
and reader of romantic suspense, when the hero and heroine are all out of
options and they’re running for their lives, that's what keeps me glued to the
pages. I can’t put those stories down.
And that’s
exactly what happens in my upcoming March 28, Love Inspired Suspense, AMISHWILDERNESS SURVIVAL.
Leora Mast
is worried about her missing brother and travels to the West Kootenai, Montana
Amish community for answers.
The moment
she arrives and meets Fletcher Shelter, the two are sent on a race against time
to try to survive the bad men coming after them and find out what really
happened to Leora’s brother as well as her friend, Ethan Connors.
From facing
down armed kidnappers, to almost being swallowed alive by a sinkhole, to being
forced to hideout in a cave in order to avoid being captured, Leora and Fletcher face
one trial after the other and yet they persevere thanks to each other, Ethan’s K-9 German
Shepherd dog, Molly, and their faith in God.
In romantic suspense,
the more danger and edge-of-your-seat survival, the better, in my opinion.
For a chance
to win an ebook copy of AMISH WILDERNESS SURVIVAL, what’s the most unusual type of
dangerous situation you’ve read about recently in fiction?
Leave a
comment, along with your contact information, and you may win an ebook copy of Amish Wilderness Survival. I’ll
announce the winner during my next post.
Until next time. . .
Happy

ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary Ellen.
DeleteMost recently I read a book about an FBI agent who goes to Night Holler in the Kentucky hills to catch a twisted serial killer. Unusual setting & the folks are so clannish. Very unusual, dangerous situation for Violet Rainwater!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read Amish Wilderness Survival!
