When veterinarian Kate Mathers drives past the scene of a terrible accident and sees an ambulance race away, she whispers a prayer for those involved, not realizing that it's her husband's car in flames down in the ditch--and that a woman died in his car. A complete stranger. Now Jared is in the ICU on the verge of death, and only a miracle can save him.
Kate is at his bedside, trying to face Jared's precarious condition and also deal with the fact that someone is targeting both her husband and her veterinary practice. How had their marriage gone so wrong?
If only they can one more chance to talk and forgive, and one more dance in each other's arms...

Since it's bitterly cold, snowy, and icy here in the Midwest, it seems like a perfect time to enjoy cozy evenings by the fire with a good book or something to watch on PBS...though I really ought to be in my office every waking hour. There are four more books coming out this year in the Northern Pines romantic suspense series!
How have you been faring during these short winter days?
Are you enjoying the arctic weather we have now, or are you appreciating the balmy sunshine of a southern state?
And, now that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, do you have a favorite memory from
Valentines Days in the past?
Valentines Days in the past?
Ours will certainly be quiet...at home as always, during these pandemic times. Even so, it will be a day to remember how grateful we are to still have each other and to pray for those who have lost their own loved ones this past year.

ReplyDeleteWhenever I think Valentine's Day, I have sweet memories of my parents. They meet on a blind date and got married seven days later ON Valentine's Day. They were married just shy of 60 years when Dad went to his heavenly home and seven years later when Mom went to join him. They were inseparable. I can still see them in my mind's eye sitting in matching recliners holding hands under a very small table between them sharing on coke as they watched afternoon TV.

ReplyDeleteI am in a balmy southern state and enjoying PICTUREs of the winter weather. My husband and I don't go out on Valentine's day because of the crowds. We tend to celebrate a couple days before or after. I can't wait to read this book, it sounds like a lot of twists involved.
ReplyDeletemy birthday is the same week as Valentines Day, so, maybe I'll receive a few b-day greetings. I just got a Christmas card TODAY (11FEB21) (in a standard #10 envelope) postmarked DEC 11th!)
ReplyDeleteI’ve already ordered and given my gift to my husband. Hoping I can talk him into Chinese takeout for lunch. I can’t drive yet after a hip replacement. Will be watching our church service online and doing Zoom for our Bible Study Class.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great book to have on a snowy day sitting by a fireplace! Since I don't have a SO, Valentine's day is another day like before... :) It's cold and snowy here in Ohio and the temps are supposed to be really cold this weekend.
