Settling in for a cozy winter..and new beginnings in 2021! Drawing for a free book, too.

Best wishes to you all in 2021!

I think we're all relieved to wave goodbye to 2020, and start feeling hopeful as 2021 begins. I hope you and yours have been untouched by the pandemic, and that you will stay safe.

Have you found yourself changing during all of this? Staying at home has made me appreciate everyday things much more. Time to appreciate the cozy fireplace. More time with my husband. More time to read. The chance to connect with dear friends via telephone or Zoom.

What are your goals for this coming year? Have you made a list?

Mine are to treasure every moment with family, once it's safe to gather again, and to not take even a single moment of that for granted. To read my Bible every day without fail. To finally get back on the treadmill, too. To write more. And to continue the ongoing saga of downsizing--which never seems to end. How that can be is a mystery to me! But I'm sure being very sentimental plays a big part. I just can't bear to let go of the things that belonged to my mom...or that I saved from our children's childhoods.

Looking ahead, some other goals are to release two sweet (clean and wholesome) romantic suspense series in 2021.

The first is the Northern Pines four-book series, starting in February. Here is a first draft of the cover. What do you think of it?

By the way, the last of my Coupled by Christmas six-novella series, Christmas in Paris, was released in December, and for the next two weeks they are all still on sale at $.99 each! Blessings and peace to you during the coming year,

  5. In 2021, we will live in the moment - to appreciate the blessing of each and every day. If 2020 taught us anything, it would be to appreciate the now. It's nice to look ahead, but not if it present suffers.

Hubby and I love photography. So one goal this year is to take some awesome critter visitors. Since we have many daily visitors, that's something we can accomplish during the stay at home. Once restrictions and concern for healthy slacks up, we would love to travel to see those we can't see every day. Long range 2021, did have us making reservations to visit Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge in December to see the eagle migration. Hopefully we won't have to cancel those plans like we did all the ones in 2020.

We both love to bake so I'm sure there will be experimentation of some new recipes and making of some old favorites. Those we can't visit like we use to at present, we can still share the bounty of the kitchen with others that also can't be out and about with deposits of goodies boxes on their porches.

Since my TBR pile is always growing, I'm planning on reading more and trying to have those taken off to be more than the added to. Probably not going to happen, but what fun trying. :)

  6. Such a sweet cover. Love. No goals this year as I care for my mama full time and because of Covid hospice won’t use volunteers to watch her at all so I can’t even go to the grocery store. Praying for an end to the hate in the world.

  7. I like the book cover. The book sounds and looks like a great, intriguing read. Would love to read and review in print format.
Look forward to learning more about the author and their books.
I've made small reachable attainable goals and one big goal. I hope to get most of the small ones attained and at least part of the big one attained but who knows what God has in store for me.
    Hope I Win.

  8. Hi, and may you and your family have a Very Happy and Blessed New Year! My goal is to drink alot more water than I was drinking before, which is just to drink water for my own good, and I did start doing this since Jan. 1st. I will also "not take anyone or anything for granted" something that is really been reinforced with this pandemic. Looking forward to seeing and hugging my son, grandson , daughter in law and all my siblings once all is safe. Have a Great weekend. Thank you for the chance. aliciabhaney(at)sbcglobal(dot)net

  14. I usually make a vision board on a half poster board size using cut outs and stickers. It's a fun way to visualize my goals and see them throughout the year. I put them on the closet door in my office. I haven't made mine yet this year but as soon as I get Christmas put away, I will. This year's goals include reading through the Bible in a year. It's been a few years since I've done that. Another is to just it take it one day at a time and not worry about the future. Make a plan and follow it daily.
