New Beginnings, New Release, New Giveaway!

Happy March, everyone! I hope your thoughts are beginning to turn toward warmer temperatures.

Spring has always represented new beginnings for me and that’s one of the things I love most about it. A time of refreshing and rejuvenation.

Here in Texas, the first signs of spring are popping up all over the place. Trees are budding. The grass is turning green again. And I spotted these little guys, (you have to look close, but there are a couple of bluebonnets in the photo) The first bluebonnets of the season. This spot along the road near our home is always the first indicator that spring is coming. For some reason, bluebonnets bloom here first. It’s strange, but its been that way for many years.

Soon, they’ll start popping up on our property and around the community.

But many of the older people around the area say, the first REAL sign of spring is when the mesquite trees put out their new leaves. I haven’t seen that happen yet, but I’m still holding onto the promise of those little bluebonnets.

This year, I have another reason to welcome in spring. I have a new release this month! Which is always exciting.

Amish Country Murder released March 1st.

Here is a little bit about the book:

An Amish woman targeted by a serial killer is the only living witness…

As the sole woman to escape the Dead of Night Killer, Catherine Fisher’s the key to catching him—if he doesn’t kill her first. Now it’s up to FBI agent Sutter Brenneman to protect her. But with her memory missing and all clues indicating the serial killer took her for very personal reasons, it’ll take everything Sutter has to keep her safe.

This is my second Amish Suspense from Love Inspired Suspense and I’m very excited about it.

So, with spring on its way, what are you most looking forward to?

Leave a comment, along with your email address, for a chance at winning a free copy of Amish Country Murder. Print for US residents, e-book outside of the US.

Happy spring, everyone!

  1. I love Spring! It's so much fun to watch the yard and fish pond to see all the little changes - what is budding, what is green now, what already has flowers (warm here in CA ;-) ). Thanks for the giveaway. sallycootie(at)gmail(dot)com

  8. I love Spring. One of my favorite seasons. I'm looking forward to sunshine, the flowers germinating, planting flowers and putting up Spring decorations. Between shopping for flowers to plant warm weather. Already seeing some signs of flowers pushing their heads trying to push through the ground. I always get excited about sunshine and warmer weather because I can sit out on the front porch or back deck and enjoy all animals and goings on around me. Another thing I like about Spring is no coats, short sleeve tops, shorts and flip flops. I'm always cold so warmer weather is very enticing to me. Seeing trees get their buds and the grass becomes a lush green again, seeing Geese come back and hearing the Birds sing their songs in the Morning and at Night. It makes me smile at just the thought of it.
Would love to read and review the print version of this book.
    Hope I win.

  11. Do so love spring! My Mom always said it was a time for rebirth, regrowth and a time to start over with a fresh slate. I'm ready for fresh grown tomatoes from our garden and weather being warm enough not to have to worry about how to dress to go outside - sweater, jacket or heavy coat. We do photography all year and come spring while it may mean missing a few shots when the birds fly into the canopy of the trees, it also means more color and background for the shots we do get. Nothing beats sitting out on our front porch in the Ozark Mountains with the ceiling fan going, a nice cold glass of diet Pepsi by my side and a great book to read.

Love your books! Love when you can mix two of my favorite genre - the Amish genre and mystery - while keeping the book clean to read. Can't wait for the opportunity to read "Amish Country Murder" and leave reviews so others can see learn about your wonderful books. Absolutely LOVE the cover! When we travel, we are always looking for the old covered bridges. The Amish girl, the color of the sky and the hint of danger at the end of the bridge would definitely draw my attention.

Thank you for the chance to win a copy!

  13. Your book sounds intriguing and like a very good page turner! I would love to read it. Yes , I have also heard about the Mesquite bushes being the ones that actually tell us when Spring is official, because they are the last ones to start putting on leaves. They say that the Mesquite bushes don't get fooled by the nice days we get. :) I haven't seen any mesquite bushes getting leaves yet either here in West Texas. Thank you for the chance.

    1. So true. I'm glad they weren't fooled this year because after I took the photo of the bluebonnets, we had another cold snap. Smart Mesquites.
