Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and one of the things I love about this holiday is that it ushers in a season of kindness. Already, as I shop for the items I need to make Thanksgiving dinner, people smile and speak. How I wish this atmosphere would stay with us all year long!

I am so thankful for all of you, our readers! So, if you would, leave a comment telling me what you're thankful for this year and I'll enter you in a drawing for another $10 Amazon gift card. Winner will be announced Friday in time for Cyber Monday! :-)

Winner of last week's drawing for a $10 Amazon gift card is...Diana Flowers!

Now for a recipe for Thanksgiving!

  2. Last year on December 30th we rushed my 42 year old husband to the ER for signs of a heart attack. Thankfully it was not his heart, but we discovered that he was pre-diabetic. His numbers were crazy high, almost coma high! This year I am SO grateful for that wakeup call for him. Since then, he has lost 95 lbs, all of his numbers are normal, they removed pre-diabetes from his medical chart, and he is doing fantastic! I am so incredibly proud of him and so thankful to still have him here with me!!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

  5. Psalm 23:5 truly describes my life. I have so many blessings and "My cup runneth over". I have a loving husband, a beautiful daughter, and precious 5 year-old granddaughter. My physical needs are met and this past year, I have been able to continue my love of reading by reviewing many books and increasing traffic for my book blog, Thanks for sharing your recipe, it is one that I make quite often.
    Happy Thanksgiving & God Bless!

    1. I love the 23rd Psalm, Connie. I think it was one of the first ones I learned. And I'm glad to know someone else who makes grape salad. I hadn't hear of it until this year.

  24. I am thankful for my husband. Of course I am always thankful for him, but especially recently. I had to have surgery recently and only had to stay in the hospital for one night, but for a week or so I could hardly even been in and out of bed by myself. He took a week off of work and stuck by my side!
