Thanks for joining me today here at Suspense Sisters. Normally, we feature interviews on Fridays. Since I’m up for an interview, I thought it would be more fun to say hello from Wyoming. I took a research trip to one of my favorite places in the world—and that, for my three upcoming books set in Wyoming.
You see, for me, it’s all about the setting. Yellowstone National Park inspired me years ago when my parents took the family to see Old Faithful.
Many more years later my husband and I traveled to Jackson to go skiing at Teton Village for our anniversaries. Well, at least until we started having children and could no longer afford those kinds of anniversaries. We’ve been talking about taking the boys to see Yellowstone for a while now, and when I signed the new contract I told him it’s time to go back. He has family in Wyoming as well as Montana and grew up in the region, so even though the road trip would be a long one from Michigan, it would be worth it.
I wish I could stay here forever, but I can only do that in the books I write. Ha! Standing by the Snake River to look up at the Grand Tetons was surreal. Visiting Jackson again felt like going back to my old stomping grounds, especially since I penned novellas with Lynette Sowell a few years ago for our collection, A Grand Teton Sleigh Ride.
The first book in my new series set in Wyoming for Revell won’t release until 2019 but in the meantime you can enjoy my adventure romantic suspense from Harlequin Love Inspired Suspense. My latest release, Wilderness Reunion, is set in another of my favorite places—southwest Oregon where I lived for five years along the Rogue River. I love the beauty of nature and try to add rich details in every book along with a dose of adventure and suspense, strong characters and a romance I hope you won’t forget.
Here’s the blurb for Wilderness Reunion:
MOVING TARGETS
After stumbling on a drug operation, Alice Wilde races through the woods as bullets whiz past, using her skills as a wilderness guide to elude her pursuers. But she doesn't stay safe for long once one of the armed men recognizes her…and starts stalking her. When the sheriff asks her to guide his men and photojournalist Griffin Slater—her ex-boyfriend—to the crime scene, though, she can't refuse. Alice knows Griffin's just there for a story, but after the two of them are separated from the rest of the group, he's the only person who can save her. And with someone willing to do anything to hunt them down, Alice must put aside their past if she wants to survive.
