Lisa Harris here. I’m
so excited to share that my next romantic suspense with LIS has just been
released! This was a particularly fun book to write because it’s set in South
Africa where my family lived for several years before moving to Mozambique
where we live now. On top of that, the setting is a game reserve, a place I
love visiting and photographing.
Here
is the blurb from the back cover:
BODYGUARD UNDER COVER
Texas Ranger Alex Markham lands an unusual assignment—protecting
an ambassador's daughter on the African savanna. No one—not even wildlife
filmmaker Meghan Jordan herself—can know his true identity. The stubborn but
beautiful Meghan is nothing like the bookish woman he expected…and neither is
his unguarded reaction to her. For the cowboy-turned-cop, the routine
babysitting assignment turns into a lifesaving mission when poachers target the
unsuspecting beauty. But when Meghan learns the truth of Alex's identity, can
she forgive him before their chances for a future are destroyed forever?
I’m
giving away two copies, paperback or ebook, your choice. Leave your email
address in a comment for a chance to win and tell me what your favorite safari
animal is! I’ll leave the comments open until Saturday, March 8th at
midnight, PST.
Happy
reading!
Lisa

Fun reading all of your answers. Thanks for stopping by! To be honest, it would be hard for me to choose one as well. In Deadly Safari, my heroine is doing a lion documentary, something I think would be fascinating.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Lisa and coolio photos!
ReplyDeleteThis book sounds wonderful. I've had friends who have been to Zimbabwe several times and know others who live elsewhere on the continent. Reading books set in other countries is always a joy, because I learn so much.

I love all big cats so my favorite safari animal is the lion. thejorns(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa.I enjoyed your post. Sounds like a very good storyline.
ReplyDeleteThat little bird sure looks like in a very bad spot. Sure are long thorns. It would be fun to ride through and see all of the animals, as long as I was safe. We've had a bear come right up to our car and raise up to look in the window. A little too close. And, had to sit and wait in the road until a Bison decided to go on its way. And the Deer and Antelope are so graceful. I was walking through the woods and came upon two Moose. Way too close. I had seen a lot, but they can be very dangerous if they decide to attack you.I stepped backward very, very slowly until far enough to turn another direction. So many interesting animals. Too many to choose just one. This was in the Jackson, WY. Natl. Park country, when I lived in Jackson Hole WY. Loved it there. Safari makes me think Of one of John Wayne's movie. African Safari. I love the cover picture of your book. I would love to win a print book. Thanks for a chance.

I love Giraffes and Zebras, my living room has both of them :) battmam85@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteYou do have to be very careful while driving through the park, Maxie. We've had a couple unnerving moments. One, when we got in the way of a charging elephant. Thankfully my husband reacted quickly and got us to safety. I've also had a lion walk so close to our car that I could have touched him. If you watch this link toward the end, you'll see that encounter.

I love elephants - such strong maternal instincts.

Beautiful cover, and it sounds like a wonderful book!!
ReplyDeleteYour book sounds different since it's set in Africa. I love cats (domestic and also the big ones) so I'd have to say the cheetah. I also like giraffes and all the other safari animals. That reminds me that our cable system just added National Geographic Wild. All the shows are about animals.
