I didn't realize my schedule was so controlling. My priorities have changed. I have let go of some things and embraced new things that I've always wanted to try, but never had the time. Not to mention, I'm cooking more, and liking that. And even finished long forgotten crafts. It's been a time of being honest with myself. What really is important in the scheme of things.
Neva. lthouselucy@msn.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14410461482286992072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-11399196687511523322020-06-27T10:39:12.020-07:002020-06-27T10:39:12.020-07:00Your garden looks lovely. Looking forward to being able to travel around soon, to see family, and doing day trips mainly. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. :)
Karen R kjrochon40(at)msn(dot)comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-68599894476936938012020-06-27T10:29:14.462-07:002020-06-27T10:29:14.462-07:00I have started cross stitching again. My 1 tomato plant is in a "cage" & I tied strips of aluminum foil to the top circle of the cage--so far, (almost a week now!) the plant is intact! :) Badawson16 at aol dot comBarb Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07975406375520039886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-31935072395186164222020-06-27T09:14:27.925-07:002020-06-27T09:14:27.925-07:00I have watched Hallmark movies more and cooked mor...I have watched Hallmark movies more and cooked moreShelia64https://www.blogger.com/profile/00029777754910738189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-34488106059940545552020-06-27T07:06:05.446-07:002020-06-27T07:06:05.446-07:00We're playing more games as a family and we ex...We're playing more games as a family and we expanded our garden space just a bit - but other than that, as we were already a homeschooling family and my husband's job didn't change much, the big things stayed mostly the same. We've also been successful with bell peppers and okra, but we're not growing them this year. Reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and cooking have been my major activities at home along with some straightening. Since the YMCA is closed, my husband and I have been walking for about 30 minutes each evening. I've loved the slower pace and have enjoyed occasional take-out meals from our favorite restaurants.Susie-Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12453057761694204459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-3399431733147619332020-06-27T04:41:00.059-07:002020-06-27T04:41:00.059-07:00We live on the outskirts of a little town with a p...We live on the outskirts of a little town with a population of less than 3,000 on a little over 7 acres. Since we are retired, we are use to be home. We are extremely grateful for the guaranteed retirement income where so many are struggling financially. As we are get older and health issues continuing, we have been traveling as much as we could in the past couple years. The idea was to see all we could so when we couldn't travel any more, we would have some wonderful memories and not be saying "wish we had". Needless to say all the trips we had planned for this year, including an extended trip we planned over a year on to see the national parks in Utah, have been cancelled.

Thankfully, we have several other interest that we are still able to do in order to keep us entertained and definitely not bored. Hubby and I both love to bake. However, with there only being the two of us, if we baked all the time and being of the generation of waste not - want not, I'd be wider than tall if we baked all the time.

Hubby's been into photography for a few years. I had always been more of point and shot photographer up until our trip last year to the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, Mount Rushmore and the Badlands where I wanted better quality photos. During the stay at home, I've been able to fine tune some things and learn how to do others on the camera I bought last year. Living in the Ozark Mountains and most of our property wooded, we have a wide array of daily critter visitors that both entertain us and give us subject matter for our photographs. Thankfully when we downsized and moved to this dream destination 3 years ago, we made sure to include and huge covered front porch to the home we built thinking more outdoor space was important than lots of indoor rooms. So a of the time we are on the porch with cameras ready enjoying the view and waiting for photo opportunities.

Since I enjoy reading, I do a lot of that while sitting under the ceiling fans on the porch too.

Hubby has always loved having his hands in the soil. However, due to medical problems and family responsibilities, it had been a few years since we had been able to have a garden. This year even before all this hit, we had decided this was the year for some fresh maters. We had the rock layers come back out and do our raised bed close to the house. In fact, we can water from our sits on the porch if we want to. :) Hubby worked from late winter to early spring making sure we had good rich fertile soil in the raised bed as well as starting our plants from seeds. The garden is doing amazingly well exceeding our expectations.
2clowns at arkansas dot netKay Garretthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08949673464928379990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-641599238951031625.post-34182566367889347242020-06-26T15:40:25.875-07:002020-06-26T15:40:25.875-07:00watching movies
